Last week, I heard the phrase “shared common humanity” for the first time. Instantly I knew what it meant. New friends in a support group. A blog post that resonates and pivots you in a new direction (I gotta find the one that turned me on my heels).  I feel like many of my songs are aimed at helping someone else put the finger on their situation and say, “yeah, that’s what it’s like.” I just let the words and music flow sometimes. Unedited. Raw. Then I tweak as needed to help someone relate to it more easily.  thanks for reading! jodi
